Hannah and Ross’ Wedding at The Old Library, Birmingham.
On the chilly morning of November 13th, we had the pleasure of shooting the wonderful wedding of Hannah and Ross. Being friendly and easy going, shooting their wedding day was a stress free and pleasurable experience.
We met with Hannah at 11:30am to begin bridal prep photos and was greeted by a full house of excited family members, children and bridesmaids.
The bridesmaids were dressed in a gorgeous shade of blue, each paired with matching silver necklaces.
As always, we loved capturing the reactions of everyone throughout the morning, catching their big smiles as they had their makeup and hair done, as well as a few tears during the first look with the father of the bride.
Our next stop was at a quaint, local church where Hannah and Ross had their ceremony. We stopped briefly afterward to take a walk through the grounds of the church, capturing a few portraits of the newly wedded couple as we went. We also met a helpful chap from Mann’s Limousines who supplied a gorgeous, white Rolls Royce and Limousine. The newly-wed couple were driven in this to the reception being held at The Old Library in the Custard Factory in Digbeth, Birmingham.
The majority of our weddings often take place in much more rural towns and locations, so having the opportunity to shoot another city based wedding was a refreshing change. They come with their own challenges, of course, as well as the time of year meaning daylight hours were much shorter.
During the evening, we wandered out with the bride and groom, capturing romantic portraits of the two in various nearby streets. Birmingham city is such a a bustling and vibrant place, particularly on a Saturday evening. We were greeted by many cheerful passers by who congratulated Hannah and Ross on their marriage.
Next came the heart felt speeches as well as the cake cutting; a modern black and white, two-tier cake decorated with gypsophila flowers and gold leafing with a detailed book made out of icing featuring the initials R + H on the front. We then organised and shot group photos before the guests made their way to the dance floor.
All in all, we had such a fun time shooting their wedding, and as always, were honoured to have had the opportunity to work with another amazing couple!
