As most of you may know, we only photograph a limi As most of you may know, we only photograph a limited number of weddings each year so we can give every couple our full attention, and last year almost every couple who booked us did so within the first few months. By March, we were turning people away for dates we’d have loved to shoot. This year has been the same. We now only have a handful of 2027 dates left. If we’re on your radar, it’s worth getting in touch sooner rather than later. We’d love to hear about your wedding and we hate having to turn couples away because their date is no longer available 🥀

Something we get asked a lot: “Will our photos loo Something we get asked a lot: “Will our photos look natural?”The honest answer is that “natural” usually means one of three things…Truly candid photos happen without any input from us. We notice something happening, move towards it and capture it before it’s gone. Those are the moments you can’t manufacture.Prompted moments are a bit different. We might ask you to hold hands and walk slowly together without looking at the camera, or suggest you take a few minutes outside on your own. Simple things that give you something to do with your hands and somewhere to put your attention, so you stop thinking about the fact that we’re there at all. We’ll keep moving around you while that’s happening, finding the light and the angles, but we’re not directing you beyond that initial nudge. What unfolds between you two is yours.
It sounds simple, and it is. But it works because you’re focused on each other rather than on us. That’s where the natural-looking photos actually come from.Posed portraits are deliberate. Not stiff, but directed. A hand placement, a position in the light. They take a little more input from us.Most wedding galleries contain all three. The difference between a gallery that feels natural and one that doesn’t usually comes down to how well those lines are blurred. When couples tell us their photos look candid, a lot of them were actually prompted. They just didn’t feel like it at the time (and that’s the goal really!)
We’ve just finished editing our final wedding of 2 We’ve just finished editing our final wedding of 2025 and there’s always something a little bittersweet about closing the last gallery of the year.
